Swiss Startup Co-founder, Mike Baur

Mike Baur can be acknowledged as one of the most successful businessmen and entrepreneurs in Switzerland. He is the esteemed co-founder and managing partner of Swiss Startup factory which was began in 2014. Baur had established his career path earlier in his growth and decided to work in the banking sector. Here, he set out to work for over 20 years while working with various organizations that included Clariden Leu and UBS. After some time, he saw that he could major his knowledge in startup companies and made a shift before coming up with the idea of co-founding Swiss Startup Factory. With the help of two partners, Oliver Walzer and Max Meister, Baur successfully began his own startup company.

What Swiss Start Factory does is providing services like mentoring, financing, coaching, office spaces and access to big investors and entrepreneurial networks for all interested individuals. Swiss Startup Factory has employed individuals sharing the same ideas and have the ability of creating and sharing ideas. Baur’s aim for the company is to provide young, talented and performing entrepreneurs in Switzerland. Baur took the initiative of participating at the START Summiteer as a jury member. This was a startup pitching contest held at the University of St. Galen. Swiss Startup Factory partnered with CTI and in 2016, Baur got to be named as the deputy managing director of CTI invest.

Baur takes the initiative of training young individuals in becoming successful entrepreneurs in future. He shows them on how they can attain the entrepreneurial skills they so wish, to have so that they may freely venture into entrepreneurship. Baur has taken the initiative of supporting some Swiss Startup both financially and through mentoring them as well. He is esteemed as one of the most successful business people. His love for financing can be traced back to when he was a young boy. He enjoyed entrepreneurship and sought to do what he enjoys. Baur was 39 years of age when he teamed up with his partners to begin the Swiss Startup Factory. He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, New York and an Executive MBA from the University of Bern. His journey started off when he began investing in startup companies before coming up with the idea of establishing Swiss Startup Factory. He has led his company through accelerator programs with Goldback Group in the year 2016. His career journey was recorded beginning from Swiss banking to entrepreneurship and startup.
